[ZOOM! There in a minute, gone in a flash! As Sonic takes off, there's a big cloud of dust. Once he's back on screen, he's grinning like mad.]

[He'll go ahead and take the 'Gear back from his Sneasel and start revvin' it up! Look out, folks, 'cause Sonic will be everywhere. That's what happens when you give him his speed back.]

... I knew a man named Professor Gerald Robotnik. He created a Space Colony called the ARK, which circled the Earth and conducted multiple research experiments for the betterment of mankind.

[Folds his arms.] But the people he wanted to help cared little for him. The government army invaded the ARK, killed everyone on board, even the Professor's granddaughter, but took the Professor alive so he could have a trial, and then be executed.

[Frowns. He was good at facts; anything else would be revealing too much about himself.]

[That's... quite a lot to take in. Sonic doesn't say anything at first because he's trying to wrap his head around all those facts. A Robotnik that wasn't such a bad guy? Who lost his granddaughter? And then got executed?

The Professor had wanted to create the Ultimate Life form; something that would make people happy through the power of science. [Shakes his head.] But mankind was afraid of it, thinking it was a weapon instead.

They didn't want anyone else to have a weapon so powerful.
